Rally For Adam Update

I promised to update you with the results of my appeal to raise funds for a wheelchair-accessible van for Adam Mogg, a young man from my church who tragically became a quadriplegic as a result of a horrible car accident last year. The campaign has been very successful and we are still tallying up the exact figures as people continue to pledge. Rose Mary and I set a goal to raise $20,000 from our own personal contribution and with “a little help from our friends”. I am very happy to report that you, our friends, have raised approximately $14,000. This means that together, we have contributed $24,000 towards Adam’s new van!

I want to extend a big THANK YOU to those who gave so generously to the fundraiser. It will enable Adam to buy the van and give him that kick-start to a fairly independent life. I have connected with some of you who donated to thank you personally, but I am not aware of everyone who gave. Please just know that I am sincerely grateful for your generosity. So again, THANK YOU!

Some of you told me that you didn’t know there was a short video highlighting Adam’s story in the last newsletter, so here it is again. It is quite moving.

As you can imagine, there are many expenses associated with a life as a quadriplegic. Even though our personal goal for the van has been reached, it is not too late if you would like to support Adam.
